INFANT HARVEST ASSEMBLY

Despite failing technology we all enjoyed our harvest assembly.

We filled a table with donations for the Waterside Food Bank.

Rev Eldridge helped us think about caring for our EARTH, the need to  SHARE the food we have and remembering the people of our world who may still STARVE. All of which can be written using letters from the word HARVEST.

We all sang Harvest Rock and roll

Foundation Stage performed 'Dingle Dangle Scarecrow'.

Year 1 and 2 told us the story of the Little Red Hen,
speaking chorally.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported us
and for the Food Bank donations.

Year 5/6 band members watch Ten Pieces film

Year 5/6 members of band were given the opportunity to watch a screening of the BBC Ten Pieces film at the Harbourlights Picturehouse. The film has been created to engage and inspire people across the UK to learn about, and recognise, ten specially chosen pieces of classical music. We learned the stories behind them and a little about the composers; all children had a favourite by the time the film was finished. Our next step is to learn to play specially arranged versions of some of the pieces in our own band; Beethoven, here we come!

Someone found an aptly named treat :)
Relaxing (with some water) in the bar.
As we had a little time to spare we chose to make use of the lounge.
 Making ourselves at home.
The 'how many year 5/6 boys can you fit on one sofa' game.
 Outside in the sun.
 Quick look at the marina.
Then time for the real treat! The film is available to watch here until the 2nd November. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04lyj10
