Choir sing at the lantern parade.

Despite the rain, there was a great turnout for this year's lantern parade. Thank you to everyone who came along and a special thanks to our choir for singing beautifully.

New Forest Nightstop

Our School Council met up with the New Forest Nightstop representatives to hand over the boxes of coins that Hythe children had brought in. Lolly and Sam (with help from Benji) spent many of their lunchtimes sorting and weighing coins! Last week the bags got so heavy they went down to the bank with Mrs Farrow and changed their coins for notes - they'd counted £108! Since then more boxes have come in, we're hoping to have raised £150 for our charity of the year- we'll let you know the final total when the last coins have been counted!

Christmas Cards

The children will be bringing home a Christmas card that they have designed. If you would like to buy some use the unique website address on the back of the card. Mugs, coasters and more are also available. £1 from each item goes to the PTA.

A visit to the Foodbank

Lolly and Sam (and Miss Peppard), on behalf of the school council, visited the local Foodbank with the last of Hythe's harvest donations. Jan showed us around and explained how the food is sorted and distributed to those in need. We were all really impressed at how organised Jan and her husband Colin were - what a great job they do. Thank you to everyone who brought in a harvest donation, they really have made a difference.
